With over 160 UAB CFAR members scattered over a ten block campus, effective communication is essential to keeping investigators informed about successes and opportunities and for building a community within the Center.

Historically, the Center published a quarterly newsletter, "Quest", as its primary mode of communication. This was largely successful but insufficient as the Center added members with a broader range of expertise. We have revamped "Quest" into our new newsletter, "CFAR Connections", which is more Center-focused, informing investigators about updates in services, new opportunities for collaboration, and for publishing IRG reports.

CFAR Connections will be published three times a year and made available to our members and the community via our website. We welcome ideas and information for upcoming issues that will be informative for UAB AIDS/HIV researchers.
