- The Administrative Core supports the other cores’ training and outreach seminars and symposia.
- The Administrative Core supports the UAB AIDS International Training and Research Program (AITRP) and the Gorgas TB Initiative. Both programs are in engaged in training, education and operations research to improve program performance in international settings.
- The Core provides funding and leadership for four highly effective community outreach programs: Support Team, Sexual Health Awareness thru Peer Education (SHAPE), GENEius, and the African-American HIV Testing Program.
- The Core facilitates the community advisory board for the Alabama Clinical Trials Unit for education efforts.
