The Core provides grant submission and administrative support to CFAR investigators applying for HIV/AIDS funding initiatives.
The Administrative Core assures financial transparency for CFAR operations by monitoring all CFAR accounts to assure solvency and compliance with NIH and UAB fiscal policy and guidelines.
The Core identifies CFAR members and teams that would be positioned to respond competitively to announced NIH HIV/AIDS initiatives through our programs and interdisciplinary research groups and manages and coordinates the interactions of these workgroups.
The core facilitates scientific communications amongst the research community via the CFAR Seminar Series, the CFAR Scientific Retreat, the weekly Virology Discussion Group, and the CFAR website.
